The Human Capital (HC) Executive is responsible for the development and implementation of the human capital strategy, which is aligned to the company strategy, to achieve Namcor’s strategic goals and objectives. The HC Executive is responsible for the creation, implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures and systems that support efficient and effective management of the human capital value chain, which includes recruitment, performance management, remuneration, training and development, industrial relations, succession planning, talent management, organisational development, change management, administration, budgeting and employee wellbeing. The HC Executive is responsible for ensuring that NAMCOR becomes an employer of choice by developing and implementing attraction and retention strategies that optimises human capital and further provides strategic leadership by articulating human capital needs and plans to the executive management team and Board of Directors.
Qualification
  • Minimum QualificationsA master’s degree in human resource management / industrial psychology /organisational development / or any other relevant field in behavioural sciences. In addition; completed a leadership development programme at an accredited, recognized tertiary institution.
Experience
  • Minimum ExperienceAt least 10 years’ hands-on HC / HR experience of which five (5) years should have been at a senior managerial level where the incumbent has gained experienced in the full HC / HR Value Chain as generalist. Added advantage: professional registration at a recognized professional body for HC / HR like CIPD, SHRM, and HRCI.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relations.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing HC business systems and processes.
  • Ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent understanding and application of organizational development, recruitment, staff deployment, remuneration, talent management strategies, integrated HC reporting for strategic decision making, inter alia.
  • Significant project management understanding and hands-on experience.
  • Excellent skill in industrial relations management, counselling and dispute resolution.
  • An understanding of the compliance environment and understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
