To support the new Compliance Risk Unit by conducting research and analyzing data to identify taxpayer compliance risks. This role involves managing and processing large datasets, applying statistical and machine learning techniques, and providing data-driven recommendations to inform NamRA Leadership`s decision-making, support productivity enhancements and improve taxpayer compliance.
Qualification
- Minimum QualificationsA relevant tertiary qualification in the following at bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in: Computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum ExperienceTwo (2+) years’ relevant experience in Data Science, with a strong background in machine learning, statistical analysis, data visualization, computer science, artificial intelligence, and/or data manipulations.
Other relevant experience area: Taxation, Auditing, Accounting, Economics, or experience in a similar environment.
Skills
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Machine learning model development and deployment.
- Data visualization and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Excel and/or database software such as Access or similar.
- Advanced skills in SAS or similar statistical analysis software.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Taxation and / or Customs.
