Planning, management, execution, and finalization of transfer pricing audits in the tertiary sector of the Namibian economy and overall operation of the Transfer Pricing Unit.
Qualification
- Minimum QualificationsA degree in accounting, auditing, law, or economics (NQF Level 7).
Added Advantage: A Master’s Degree in Taxation.
Experience
- Minimum ExperienceChartered accountant with 3 years post-audit article experience or (10) years relevant experience in an audit firm tax environment with (5) years at management level. Demonstrated experience in the tertiary sector.
Skills
- In-depth understanding of Namibia’s transfer pricing laws, including OECD transfer pricing guidelines.
- Understanding of international tax principles, double taxation treaties, and the implications of cross-border transactions.
- Ability to conduct and interpret economic analyses related to transfer pricing, including benchmarking studies.
- Thorough understanding and capability to analyse financial and economic data to assess the arm’s length nature of related party transactions.
- Clear, concise, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to manage transfer pricing audits, including coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables.
- Strong negotiation skills to engage in discussions with taxpayers and, when necessary, during dispute resolution processes.
- Confidence and decisiveness with excellent planning and organising abilities.
